Dandruff Treatment

Dandruff affects the scalp and causes flakes of skin to appear - it is a common condition. Our skin cells are forever renewing themselves. When the skin cells on our scalp are renewed the old ones are pressed to the surface and out of the scalp. For a person with dandruff the renewal is faster, sense more dead skin is shed, creation the dandruff more noticeable.

Nutritional Treatment – A diet that contains nutritionally rich food provides nutritional treatment for dandruff. An intake of liquids like juice, water in plenty keeps the skin of the scalp away from dryness. A diet is balanced when it includes fruits and salads. Feeding on a balanced diet is a natural cure for dandruff. Natural treatment also includes taking a good night sleep for seven to eight hours.

Hot oil therapy is the best technique to cure dandruff. Massage hot oil into the scalp at bedtime. Next morning an hour previous to the bath, rub lemon juice mixed with cosmetic vinegar into the scalp with cotton wool. Wash your hair correctly and as a last rinse use the juice of one lemon in a cup of hot water. Continue this action once or twice a week for three months.

Hair washed with methi seed stick prevents dandruff, falling hair, baldness and dandruff custody the hair long, healthy and black. Just soak the fenugreek seeds overnight in water to soften the seeds and crush in the morning to make paste. Before hair wash, apply this paste on scalp and hair and go away it on for half an hour. Wash off with shampoo later.

Treatments for scalp psoriasis and dandruff seem to be alike. Certain treatments include using shampoos containing coal tar and or salicylic acid. Also, topical steroid creams may be able to reduce inflammation. Being that dandruff is most commonly caused by fungus, try using an anti-fungal shampoo to block the growth of the fungi.

Lemon has also been found to be very fruitful against dandruff. It helps in restoring the pH balance of the scalp. A few drops of lemon juice may be used with 15-20 ml of coconut oil and massage into the hair. Leave it for the night and wash off the next day to find hair shining and clean. It will help in restoring the scalp pH balance and reduce dandruff.

Fenugreek Seeds. Fenugreek seeds are one of the most essential treatments for conditions like dandruff. Two tablespoons of these seeds need to be soaked overnight in water and ground into a fine paste in the morning. This paste should be applied all over the scalp and left for about partially an hour.

Vitamin C is not good for dandruff. Most sour tasting foods have vitamin C in them. Therefore, tomatoes, oranges, lemons, tamarind, etc. which contain acidic content, must be avoided.

Dandruff can be removed by massaging the hair for half an hour with curd which has been reserved in the open for three days, or with a few drops of lime juice mixed with amla juice each night, before going to bed. One more measure which helps to counteract dandruff is to dilute cider vinegar with an identical quantity of water and dab this on to the hair with cotton wool in-between shampooing.
