Wedding Day Makeup Tips

Are you getting married and want to save some money? Getting your hair, makeup, and nails done can often take a huge and unnecessary cut out of your budgets. Doing your own makeup is a great way to save money if you’re getting married on a budget. Here are some great tips to help you look perfect for your big day.

Unless you have facials on a regular basis DO NOT get one the week before your wedding day. Facials can pull impurities to the surface, and you do not want to break out the week of your wedding. To also help avoid blotches and blemishes do not make any major changes in your skin care routine during the few weeks before your wedding.

Concealer
Perfect for hiding minor flaws and covering little blemishes, a good quality concealer is essential on your wedding day. For under the eyes use a light specialist concealer and for spots and blemishes use a slightly heavier version. For perfect results use a little moisturiser first and apply the concealer with a soft brush until you achieve the perfect look.

Cheeks

Blush comes in gel, powder and even liquid forms. For your wedding day beauty, you should use a powder blush because it will be the easiest to blend. Blush also comes in mineral based forms, and if you use a mineral based foundation, it would be wise to use a mineral based blush.

Look at Previous Work: Previous work is one of the best ways to gage a makeup artist's talent. Most will have a portfolio with pictures of past clients. Ask for a portfolio and flip through it. If you're less than thrilled or don't like their style keep searching for someone who meets your standards.

Leave the makeup from your trial run on all day to see how it feels and performs over the course of many hours. Does the mascara flake? Or perhaps the foundation feels cakey and heavy on your skin? Some makeup may even have a reaction with the natural oils in your skin and change color over time.

Foremost make up tips for weddings are about the foundation. Every bride needs a foundation at different degree. Foundation and concealer are the most important factor to looking good in photographs. Good foundation successfully hides blemishes for that perfect photo. Stick concealer or cake foundation are good options.

Prep Up Your Skin

In order to achieve a smooth and supple skin on your wedding day, you need to start taking care of your face and body for several months before the big day. Body scrubbing twice a month and a nightly ritual of applying lotion and cream will really help make your body soft, smooth and irresistible on your special day.

All of these beauty mistakes are small in stature and often not thought of in the planning of the wedding by they are extremely important. You want your wedding to be remembered for all that went right, not all the blunder that could have been avoided or fixed.
